Founder Beverly A. Scarbrough M.Ed is a Retired Educator with 37 years of teaching experience in both general and special education.  Prior to her retirement, she worked as a Special Education Teacher Consultant.  Beverly earned her a Dual Bachelors Degree from Kutztown University in Kutztown, Pennsylvania in the areas of Special Education (Learning Disabilities) and Elementary Education.  Her Masters of Education , in the area of Curriculum, Instruction, and Leadership, was earned from Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan.  A  Parenting Education Certification was granted by Positive Discipline, founded by Jane Nelsen.  Beverly also completed 24 credit hours of Professional Supervised Services Training from Heal, Play, Love University in California, Melinda Hayes MA, LMFT-S.  

 

Beverly is the founder of Parenting From the Heart L.L.C. that provides COURT APPROVED Parenting Classes, Supervised Parenting Time, Parent Coaching, and can facilitate parent support groups.  Parenting Classes are one to one providing parents with the privacy they need to fully discuss their parenting challenges.

 

Using the experiential tools taught from the Positive Disciple model, her highly informative and passionate style of presenting keeps parents engaged with high interest and enjoyment.  All workshops are designed to meet your needs.

Beverly promotes a positive approach to parenting and encourages parents to understand life from their child's point of view.   Beverly lives in Commerce Township, MI  with her husband.  Also in Michigan are her two adult sons, two daughter-in-laws, and five grandchildren.
